Development of business processes is a four-stage process that encompasses strategy, design, implementation and optimization phases. The continuous improvement cycle ensures constant process enhancement whether on basis of performance indicators gathered during implementation and use or on basis of any other improvement initiative.
Using IDA, EMC Documentum can be employed as a process execution platform for business process. Process models created in ARIS design tools ARIS© Business Architect or ARIS© Toolset can be reused in the EMC Documentum environment, significantly cutting down implementation costs and in the same time spectacularly decreasing the time required for implementation of the complete content management solution.
While the design and optimization phases could be performed by tools mostly independent of process execution, implementation tools directly depend on the specific environment. IDA allows EMC Documentum to be used as a target platform to implement processes in scope of a process automation solution. Processes are designed, simulated and optimized in the ARIS environment.
